A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported the Queen of Diamonds initiative! Today, we’re delighted to introduce our third Queen, Veronica Powell.
Soror Powell began her journey in 1992, initiated into Beta Eta, Alabama State University. She is a charter member of one of the newest chapters, Fayette County Alumnae. Her commitment to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is truly commendable.
She is inspired by Maya Angelou’s famous quote, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” Soror Powell explains, “This quote stresses the importance of trusting one’s instincts while being mindful of the signals other people emit—typically through their actions and behavior—about the true nature of their character, especially during a first interaction.”
We salute Veronica Powell for her unwavering support and dedication. Her wisdom and commitment to the principles of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. continue to inspire us all.
