2017 Tennessee State Cluster and Delta Days at the Capitol

Dear Sorors of the Dynamic Southern Region!

As we move toward the Cluster Cycle of this new biennium, we cordially invite each of you to the 2017 State Cluster and Mock Convention. We are ready to Empower, Embrace and Engage the Sorors of our dynamic region. The vision is one that includes all sorors, collegiate and alumnae, all having a vital role in advancing the sisterhood. Roles that will empower, embraceengage and enhance each collegiate and alumnae chapter.

  • Empower members and chapters to better serve our communities.
  • Embrace collegiate and alumnae members
  • Engage you in advancing the region

The Regional Leadership Team and host chapters are preparing for an informative and enriching Mock Convention and sessions with enjoyable opportunities for sisterly fellowship and fun.

Delta Days in Tennessee will begin after Cluster Ecumenical Service. All chapters are asked to encourage your membership to obligate a minimum of twenty chapter members to be present at DDAC. Our agenda will prepare members of the local chapter to address Program Planning and Advocacy approaches and issues that are relevant to us. We will begin our work with a luncheon on Sunday at noon.

State Cluster registration fees are $85.00 for alumnae and $70.00 for collegiate members. The DDAC cost for an alumnae member is $45.00 and $15.00 for collegiate.  If you are unable to commit to the day and a-half registration and desire to join us for lunch, we welcome you to attend at a cost of $25.00.  This year we are pleased to offer the opportunity to submit nominees for Social Action Awards online; please see the links below.

There is one combined registration form for State Cluster and DDAC. Each registrant must submit a completed on-line registration form and funds to their local chapter for final submittal. A chapter registration form should be completed identifying all participating members and a chapter check, cashier check, or money order must be submitted for the total registration fee to the host chapter.

There will be NO ON-SITE registration.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2017 Tennessee State Cluster and Mock Convention and Delta Days at the State Capitol. If you have any questions regarding the event or the registration process, please contact Tennessee State Coordinator Necole Jones at tennesseecoordinator@dstsouthernregion.com or the Tennessee Facilitator Elizabeth Nichols at tenn.statefacilitator@gmail.com. Alabama 2017 Delta Days at the Capitol

Greetings Chapter President and Members:

Delta Days at the Capitol (DDAC) is the activation of Delta’s national social action thrust, serving as a vehicle for advocacy and effecting social change and public policy. Plans are underway for the 2017 Delta Days at the Alabama State Capitol to be held Wednesday, April 5, and Thursday April 6, 2017, in Montgomery, AL. Under the theme: Defining the Moment…Believing in the Power of WE,” the DDAC Steering Committee has formulated an enriching and informative conference designed to address critical issues of importance to all residents of Alabama along with continued discussion about how Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. can be an advocate for the voiceless in our communities.

As in the past, we are asking each chapter to register at least 3-5 members. Attached are the items needed for 2017 Alabama DDAC Registration:

  • Summary Registration Form
  • General Information, Agenda Overview, and Hotel Information

This year we are pleased to offer sorors the opportunity to complete their registration online (in addition to registering through your chapter). Below are the procedures you must follow in order to complete your registration:

  1. Registration Form
  2. You will receive a confirmation notice via email which will contain a link to your registration record.
  3. Print two copies of your completed registration form:
  • One to be provided to your chapter when you submit payment and;
  • One for your personal record

Per the standard procedure, the chapter will submit the appropriate registration fees for all paid and registered Sorors. If you pay for registration fees through PayPal, you do not have to submit payment to your local chapter.

Each chapter will submit a summary form listing each registered Soror along with the appropriate fees to the Host Chapter. (Excel Summary Form Attached)

This information will also be available online via the Southern Region web site.

The Chapter Registration Form and Summary Registration Form should be completed in its entirety (identifying all participating members) and returned along with a chapter check, cashier’s check, or money order for the total registration fee.
