Georgia 2018 Delta Days at the Capitol (DDAC)

Greetings Chapter President and Members:

Delta Days at the Capitol (DDAC) is the activation of Delta’s national social action thrust, serving as a vehicle for advocacy and effecting social change and public policy. As social action advocates, it is imperative that we remember the Power of We…collectively making a difference in the communities we serve.  We’re asking you to get fired up and ready to meet us at the Georgia State Capitol for the 2018 Delta Days at the Capitol!

The Regional and State Social Action Teams extend an invitation to join us on February 25 – 26, 2018, for the 2018 Delta Day at the Capitol.  Planning is underway for an exciting day that will include legislative briefings on critical issues facing our communities along with continued discussion about how Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. can continue to build on our Founders legacy by allowing social action to fuel change and improvement for the voiceless in our communities. It will be an action packed day filled with vital information as well as opportunities to fellowship with your sisters. It is our hope that you will answer the “Call to Action” and leave informed, revived with the spirit of the Founders and continue the critical work of social action.

As in the past, we are asking each chapter to commit to registering at least (5) members.

We have expanded the online registration process this year to include payment.  Each individual registrant will be able to make payment via the online link.  Chapters will not be required to submit the Summary Registration Form.

Under the theme: Defining the Moment…Believing in the Power of WE,” the DDAC Steering Committee has formulated an enriching and informative conference designed to address critical issues of importance to all residents of Alabama along with continued discussion about how Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. can be an advocate for the voiceless in our communities.  We are in critical times.  Silence is consent and we will no longer be silent.  It is imperative that each of us move beyond our comfort zones and begin to action…social action.

2018 Delta Days at the State Capitol
CALL TO ACTION

Greetings Sorors of the State of Florida,

For 104 years, our Sorority has stood on the foundation of Social Action. Each of you has been empowered as a member of this amazing organization to participate in social action issues consistent with our mission and goals.

The “Red Army” was branded and created by the Southern Region to empower you as individuals to put on your “Red” attire, go out in your community, and make a difference on the front line of issues. With that said, the time is quickly approaching for us to color the halls of the Tallahassee Capitol “RED”. This is a call to action!

I am asking every Florida Delta to get fired up, and get ready to meet at the Florida State Capitol for Delta Days at the Capitol (DDAC) 2018. DDAC is the activation of Delta’s national social action thrust, serving as a vehicle for advocacy and effecting social change and public policy.

The State Social Action Team extends this call to action to join us January 21-23, 2018 for Delta Days at the Capitol (DDAC). REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

DDAC will be filled with vital information on state issues as well as opportunities to fellowship, engage and advocate at events such as our Honorable Carrie P. Meek Servant Leadership Social Action Breakfast, and at the annual Legislative Reception.

DDAC 2018 will support those resolutions passed at the 53rd National Convention in Las Vegas and the legislative agenda of the Southern Region that directly affect our state including education reform, healthcare reform, restoration of rights, criminal justice reform, and the census.

I am counting on YOU to be present and accounted for. We need your voice. I look forward to seeing you in Tallahassee as a part of the “Red Army”.
