Our 14th Queen, Angel Duncan was initiated in Spring 2024 in the Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter and is currently a member of JAC.
Soror Duncan shared this famous quote as one that resonates with her:
“The ship of my life may or may not be sailing on calm and amiable seas. The challenging days of my existence may or may not be bright and promising. Stormy or sunny days, glorious or lonely nights, I maintain an attitude of gratitude. If I insist on being pessimistic, there is always tomorrow. TODAY I AM BLESSED!” ~Maya Angelou
Soror Duncan says this quote truly touches her heart. “Daily, I am graced with a powerful choice. I can perceive hardship in every scenario or seek the blessing in every challenge. I elect to acknowledge my blessings. I opt to uphold optimism. For this optimism that I have… it is not merely a sentiment; it is a blessed catalyst, a gift, that I graciously embrace and strive to generously bestow upon others.”
We salute Angel Duncan for her positive outlook and attitude of gratitude. Her appreciation for the little things in life makes a big difference to those who surround her.
